Windows 8

Been playing with Windows 8 for a while now and feelings are mixed. I'm finding it very unintuitive and a bit clunky compared to OSX. I got to like Windows 7 a lot after the disaster that was Vista. My feeling is that 8 will have a fairly short life span as it just doesn't feel right. If Microsoft want to emulate the slick and logical layout that Apple do so well, I thunk they are going to need to try harder.

Linacre College, Oxford

Just looked the WiFish stats for Linacre College. Over 3500 unique users have connected to WiFish there. Wow!

Hertford College

WiFish rollout at Hertford is going really well. We hope to have them at 100% coverage by the New Year :-)

Apple

Just over a year after Steve Jobs died. I don't think it's coincidence that I'm feeling less appeal from Apple's offerings. Will be interesting to see what happens, but I think without a new visionary leader, they are liable to slowly seep down in popularity.
